2019 Maritime Administration Small Shipyard Grant Welding Training Lab
Port of Toledo Industrial Park
Partnership with Oregon Coast Community College, Lincoln County School District, and Oregon Now
Project Details: This project establishes a welding training program at the Port's Industrial Park. The lab will be used to provide welding career training as a credited college program The program will be administered by Oregon Coast Community College. Lincoln County High School will utilize the vocational training program to enhance its career technical education for students attending schools that don't have dedicated industrial arts facilities.
The Small Shipyard Grant is providing funding to purchase equipment for the lab.
Project status: Ribbon Cutting for new facility, January 29, 2020. OCCC classes begin Feb 5, 2020.
